Nominations for Parent/Carer Members of the Academy Council

The Academy is seeking nominations for two Parent/Carer Governors to sit on the Academy Council of Outwood Academy Bydales.

Code of Practice for the Election of a Parent/Carer Member of the Academy Council
Pre-appointment Form

If you would like to put yourself forward for one of these positions please complete and sign the nomination form (with information on the parents who are proposing and seconding your nomination), the pre-appointment form and the Code of Practice document and return these to Louise Holland, Clerk to the Academy Council no later than Monday 21 November 2022. Nomination documents can be returned as hard copies via the academy reception or via email (l.holland@bydales.outwood.com).

Nominees are entitled to provide a statement of up to 200 words in support of their nomination. If there are more than two nominees at the closure date, their statements will be shared with voters with the ballot papers. Therefore if you wish to provide a statement, this should be included with your initial nomination form.

If an election is required, details will be forwarded to all parents/carers by text and email and also placed on the Academy’s website. Voting papers will be distributed to all parents/carers eligible to vote.
