https://teachnorth.com/internshipsTeach North has officially launched the Outwood Teaching Internship Programme for 2022, which will take place from Monday 20 June to Friday 8 July.
As a Teaching Intern, you will be able to experience the teaching profession, gain new skills and be paid £300 per week for your time. So, if you are an undergraduate student and interested in teaching Maths, Science, Computer Science or Languages in a secondary school, then the Teaching Internship programme could be for you.
The Teach North internship programme will last three weeks and will take place from Monday 20 June to Friday 8 July 2022.
Our Maths, Science and Computer Science placements will take place in one of our Outwood secondary academies across Yorkshire & Humber, Tees Valley, Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and Lancashire. Based on available funding, our Languages placements will take place in one of our Outwood secondary academies in Tees Valley only.
You will get the opportunity to experience a range of activities to help you get a feel for academy life, including:

classroom experience, which could include: assisting with lessons and providing subject support to students

shadowing experienced teachers and observing lessons, followed by a chance to jointly plan and deliver lessons

one-to-one guidance from outstanding classroom teachers

opportunities to network with qualified subject specialists

Once the Teach North team have received your initial interest, they will send the application form to you and the closing date for these is Thursday 28 April, 12.00pm.
