Dear Parent/Carer

On Monday 15 June 2026, all Year 10 students will have a collapsed timetable to take part in an employer engagement and mock interview day. 

In the current economic climate we believe it is critical for students to develop both transferable and employability skills, and gain knowledge on what employers are looking for to help our young people prepare for the future. 

Throughout the day, students will take part in presentations, employability group work sessions and prepare for and take part in a ‘mock interview’ with one of 30 external employers, who will then provide students with constructive feedback.

Students should register with their Period 1 teacher for the first of the day’s sessions.  The students will have their interviews at different times throughout the morning. 

We hope that this day will support students with planning and preparation for their future and give them the opportunity to engage with local and national employers.
