Nicole Hill - Associate Assistant Principal

Associate Assistant Principal and Head of Physical Education

As a student in secondary school I always wanted to follow my passion of sport and teaching others. After completing a BSc (Hons) in Sports and Exercise (Coaching Science) at The University of Teesside, my journey into teaching began as a cover supervisor at Bydales School in 2006. During this time, I captained the England Ladies Ice Hockey Team and regularly competed in international competitions.

I soon secured a place on the Graduate Teaching Programme and qualified as a PE teacher in 2007. I retired from International Ice Hockey in 2009 and started a family. In 2013 I was appointed as Head of Physical Education and with a growing desire to have a wider impact on students whole school, I joined the SLT team in 2019. My focus areas are currently within the Deeps are Attendance, Year 7 Catch-up, Catch-up interventions, Transition and Accelerated Reader. I would hope to describe myself as someone with plenty of energy, positivity and high standards.
