Assistant Principal: Deep Learning.
I started my teaching career in 2008 at Trinity Catholic College in Middlesbrough, as a teacher of ICT. I then joined Bydales School in January 2014 as Head of ICT, Business and Computing.
In September 2014 I joined the Senior Leadership Team as Associate Assistant Principal for Deep Learning, alongside my role as Head of Department. I continued to do both roles for three years where I had the opportunity to lead on aspects of Teaching & Learning, VMG and Educational visits. In April 2017 I became Assistant Principal responsible for Deep Learning. This has given me the opportunity to have an impact on whole school Teaching & Learning to help Outwood Academy Bydales accelerate its journey towards excellence.
My philosophy as a leader is very much a supportive one, be it of students on their journey through school life or of colleagues in to becoming the best they can be in the classroom, to further improve outcomes for our young people.
